I was the Representative for SISLT on the Graduate Student Advisory Council (GSAC) within the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD). This entailed meeting with other representatives to bring forth any concerns or challenges and elevate beyond CEHD if needed.
The Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T) is a professional organization that advances the information sciences and similar applications of information technology. I served the graduate students of SISLT by hosting social & learning events. This student organization is now combined with Penny University.
Penny University's purpose is to provide a space for SISLT doctoral student formal and informal interaction in both virtual and physical environments. I served the graduate students of SISLT by hosting colloquium & research discussion events.
